Our History
Krieger Electric has a long history of meeting the changing needs of its customers.
Krieger Electric Co. is a family-owned business whose roots run deep. Its founder, Marshall Krieger, had trained as an electrician in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Four years after his return to Hastings, Nebraska, he opened his own small electrical shop on May 1, 1950.
Located in a garage at 915 East 6th Street, the fledgling business thrived and in 1967, Marshall moved his growing business to a larger building at 1000 East 2nd Street in Hastings, Nebraska.
In September 1972, Marshall’s son Paul joined Krieger Electric after graduating from Hastings College. In 1980, Krieger Electric was incorporated and Paul Krieger was appointed president. At that time, Krieger Electric had four crews and was experiencing rapid growth.
In July 2000, Krieger Electric acquired a location at 105 South California Avenue in Hastings, Nebraska, giving the company the warehouse and workspace it needed to efficiently meet the needs of its residential, industrial, and commercial customers. Finally, in 2019, Kreiger built a new building at 3307 Yost Avenue, with expanded warehouse and showroom space.
Krieger Electric is proud of its ability to meet the ever-evolving technological and wiring requirements of its many clients. Today, the company is known as the go-to source for a wide variety of services including computer and data installations, fiber installation, the latest in lighting systems, computer-aided equipment controls, home automation, and more.
